The Hudson Commodore is a massive car with a long front end, nearly a meter of space between the engine and the bonnet’s tip. I first saw it in Belgaum, but its owner refused to sell it, wanting to restore it in memory of his father.
Fifty years later, he unexpectedly offered it to me. When it arrived in Dharmasthala, it was in terrible shape—rusted floors, missing headlights, and damaged body parts. I considered scrapping it, but my team insisted on restoring it. The work began immediately and took two years. Since many parts were unavailable, we custom-made them in fiberglass and steel. Though not fully restored, the Hudson Commodore is now drivable and a rare treasure.
